May 18 | The Friday AFTER Mother's Day Ride on the Oak Creek Trail, Valparaiso, NE NOTE! New date for 2012 only. Due to my son's graduation, we will be having this annual ride the Friday AFTER Mother's Day rather than BEFORE as in the past. Same trail, same great time - just a new date. May 19 | "Riding for a Reason" trail ride and BBQ fund raiser to benefit Windsong Equitherapy. Saturday, May 19 at Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center. This will be two different guided trail rides. There will also be a silent auction and a used western saddle that will be won in a drawing. Cost is $10.00 for the trail ride and $10.00 for the BBQ or $15.00 for both. September 29/30 | LAST GREAT BUFFALO HUNT TRAILRIDE at Camp Hayes Lake, 10 miles east of Hayes Center NE, (40 miles south of North Platte, 40 miles north of McCook). Starting time is 9 AM both days, one ride will start from camp at 1PM. No fees, no registration, just show up to have a good time. We will ride the Red Willow Creek area, some canyons, creek bottom to view the changing of the colors and some wildlife and some great cattle herds of top of the line Angus cattle and a herd of 800 Corrientes cattle. There will be a moon light ride around the lake Sat night. Primitive camping. Bring your own provisions, contact me and will fill you in on what might be. October 13 | Nebraska 4-H Foundation Trail Ride at Nebraska National Forest, Halsey Event Information: Plan now to join us for our 14th annual 4-H Trail Ride. You will enjoy riding through the trees and sand hills of the forest, a steak barbecue, country entertainment, a cowboy breakfast and a whole lot of visiting and making friends along the trails. We ride Saturday morning and afternoon, Sunday morning, with an optional ride Sunday afternoon. We begin with registration at 8:00 am on Saturday. Many riders arrive on Friday afternoon.
